Nainital Tourism
Nainital has always been ranked as one of the top tourist attractions in India. Although there are many things that can attract one to the area, including the culture of the people in the area, it is majorly known for its serene natural environment that provides beautiful and therapeutic scenery. Its location at the foothills of Kumaon is perfect for the natural feel of the place, away from the noisy urban areas.
One of the most popular places to visit is the Naini Lake, which makes up for most of the area. The lake provides a beautiful background from which one can take photographs. Also, one may simply enjoy the feel of the environment around the lake and experience the therapeutic feel of the place. There are also temples in the area which one can enjoy visiting. One such temple is the Naina Devi Temple which is found on the northern side of the Lake’s shore. Although it is not the original temple as the original one was destroyed in the late 1800’s, it still makes for a great tourist destination.
For perfect and exquisite views, the Snow View is a place that one should go to. It is conveniently located about 2, 300 m above sea level. At this place, a person is able to enjoy the breathtaking sceneries of the Tibetan borders as well as the beauty of the Himalayan Mountains.
The Jim Corbett National Park in the area is a perfect tourist destination for people who love nature. The park boasts of huge stretches grasslands which are good grounds for observing and studying nature. This area has been well preserved ever since its demarcation by the British Government in the mid 1930s and thus one will not have to worry about the deterioration of the natural resources in the place.
